What was the Library and Museum in Egyptian Alexandria?

In the Museum, scientists were provided with free housing, food, and premises for studies. Its inhabitants glorified the king and his wisdom. The famous Library of Alexandria was located at the Museum. It numbered up to 700 thousand papyrus scrolls.
