What was the main reason for the North American Colonial War of Independence?

The problem consisted of a whole complex of reasons. It’s not even about the split of American society into law-abiding citizens of the Crown and rebels. This is already a consequence. The real reason was money and power. Britain received significant funds from its colonies in North America in the form of taxes and duties, and it created many restrictions on the trade sphere. In addition, it restricted and prohibited the opening of manufactories. There were bans on migration. On the territory of the colonies there was a permanent British contingent, whose purpose was clearly not to protect the colonies. The colonial representatives had no weight in the British government. The proposal to introduce presidential rule was refused.
