What was the name of the road along which the Normans from the south of Scandinavia got to Constantinople?

This road was called “the way from the Varangians to the Greeks.” It passed from north to south through the lands of Russia and the Black Sea. Mostly merchants passed it by water – through rivers and seas. One of the largest cities on this route was Kiev, which influenced its rapid development. This trade route was beneficial not only to the Varangians, but also to the local population, as well as the Greeks themselves, who very profitably traded their exotic goods in the north.
