What was the nature of the relations of the USSR with the countries of people’s democracies?

Initially, in the countries liberated by the Soviet army, democratic reforms were carried out, and only then socialist ones. At the very beginning of the USSR, he played the role of assistant and adviser. Then in the same countries the communists began to prevail. After that, there were several waves of purges and new constitutions were adopted. Thus, from that time on, these states began to fully obey the government of the CPSU.
