What was the policy of appeasing the aggressor in Europe?

This policy was carried out by the French and British authorities. Under the noble goal of preventing the incitement of new conflicts, there was a disregard for the prosperity of Germany’s military power and its aggressive ambitions.

On the one hand, France and Great Britain did not want to be drawn into another military conflict, and on the other hand, they redirected the aggression of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union. Themselves, thus, they found themselves outside the main battle.
