What was the political regime in France and Germany in the interwar period?

It is impossible to single out one political system in these countries during the 20-30s. In France, there was still a parliamentary republican before the Vichy regime was established, which was completely puppetly subordinate to Nazi Germany. While Germany until 1933 was a republic that had a parliamentary-presidential structure. With the coming of the NSDAP to power in this country, everything changed dramatically – in fact, a totalitarian state was established, which still nominally had a parliament.
