What were people’s ideas about the world in the Middle Ages?

In the Middle Ages, the theological concept was dominant in the sphere of culture. God was the center of everything, and everything that happens around, accordingly, had a divine origin. Declaring the cause of everything that exists on Earth, human needs and thoughts were not taken into account, since people were considered the slaves of God. All culture (literature, architecture, and so on) was directed precisely towards the divine. The center of thought shifted to man only in the Renaissance.
