What were the contradictions between England and her North American colonies?

By the middle of the 18th century, the British government had a rather superficial understanding of the state of affairs in its North American colonies, the problems that existed there, the prevailing way of life. Therefore, bans and laws were often adopted that contradicted the interests of the colonists, ordinary workers, the bourgeoisie and landowners.
