What were the genres of plays in ancient Greek theater?

The advantage in ancient Greek theater was given to tragedy and comedy. The actors were men with a clean reputation. The masks on the faces helped in this case to play both the female and male roles, but primarily served to create the image of the hero as such. Theatrical performances lasted all day, and as a result, the jury, selected from among the audience, announced the first three winners of the tragic and comic genre. Initially, the entrance to the performances was free, later a box office was created, which was partially replenished with budget money.
