What were the goals of the Decembrist movement?

The ideology of the Decembrists was not uniform. In fact, these were numerous scattered groups that had a large number of views, sometimes contradicting each other. In general, all politics and all their actions were aimed at overthrowing the autocracy, abolishing serfdom and creating a constitutional state. However, this is highly generalized. And in fact, the ideas were raw, not finalized, lacking a basis and understanding among the people – they just wanted to impose them “from above”, and not agree “from below.”
