What were the main goals of the participants in the Vienna Congress?

The Congress of Vienna in 1814-15 ended the era of the Napoleonic Wars that had lasted since the beginning of the century. All European countries took an active part in it, except for Turkey. The diplomats had the following goals: 1. territorial redistribution of Europe, the winners received new territories (mainly Russia, England, Prussia, Austria); 2. the return of monarchical power and the creation of the “Sacred Union” (in the countries seized by Napoleon, a parliamentary union was established); 3. the decision of the fate of Napoleon. As a result, the conference turned into a struggle of behind-the-scenes intrigues and led to the strengthening of the power of the 4 countries mentioned above.
