What were the main reasons for the revolt of the inhabitants of the colonies against England?

Here, I think, it will not be a secret that England tried to suck everything out of her colonies that she could. The colonies were simply devastated. People were actually slaves, they could not leave the country, they could not trade independently and decide anything on their territory. The colonies wanted independence, and after England weakened as a result of the war, the colonies very quickly intensified in the struggle for independence from England. They wanted to become sovereign states, to determine their own foreign and domestic policy.
