What were the reasons for the church schism in the 17th century?

In the second half of the 17th century in Russia, there was a division of believers into Old Believers and the so-called New Believers. This happened due to the fact that many people did not accept a series of reforms carried out by Patriarch Nikon. Firstly, much has changed in the rites of worship, for example, baptism now had to be done with three fingers, and not two, as before. In addition, the old scriptures were forcibly confiscated from people, which were replaced with new ones, as close as possible in content and meaning to the Greek theological books.
