What were the reasons for the weakness of the Crusader states?

The reason for the weakness and non-viability of the states founded by the crusaders lies in the economic and social sphere. The absence of the peasant class as the main productive force in the feudal society of that time was one of the main factors of the weakness of these formations. The few pilgrims and subordinate local residents who were engaged in the cultivation of not very suitable lands were constantly attacked by the Saracens. Another reason was conflicts between rulers and feudal lords within the state.
