What were the reasons for the Young Turk revolution? What were its results?

The Young Turkish Revolution, which took place in the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century, set itself the task of reforming the state, modernizing it and improving civil rights. The driving force of the revolution was the army and the Unity and Progress party. The abolition of the absolute power of the Sultan and the introduction of a constitutional monarchy similar to the European powers. It began in Macedonian territory in 1908 with a military uprising that engulfed most parts in Macedonia and was supported by the Albanians. The insurgents’ demands – to return the constitution, in 1876 was fulfilled. Abdula-Hamid II made concessions to the rebels and convened Parliament.
