What were the religious beliefs of the Eastern Slavs?

The ancient Slavs in those distant times were pagans, because they believed in gods, that is, they deified the forces of nature. So the Slavs built temples to their gods, worshiped them and made sacrifices. The most important god was Perun – the god of thunder, war and wisdom. Along with him, the Slavs greatly revered such gods: Stribog, Dazhbog, Mokosh, Lada, Lelya, Yaril, etc.
