What were the results of industrialization, what do you see as the costs of forced industrialization?

The beginning of a new course
Industrialization is the process of forming an industrial state. It is characterized by a shift away from the agricultural sector towards heavy engineering. For the first time in the USSR, they started talking about forced industrialization in the 20s of the last century. With his coming to power, Stalin announced a new strategy for the development of the state. The development, first of all, of the heavy industry sector: the construction of factories, the strengthening of the military industry.

The introduction of the five-year plan served as a definite idea for the Soviet people. The five-year plan is a plan of the national economy, first adopted in 1928 by Stalin. It was in it that clear requirements for the development of the country for the next five years (sometimes less) were set out. Two groups of goods were introduced – A and B. A – industrial goods, and B – folk. Significant reserves of the USSR budget were spent on the industrial sector, that is, A. Nobody even thought about equal investment between the groups. Consequently, most of the money was spent on the maintenance and development of heavy engineering, rather than on light industry goods. Hence the equality in everything among the population, the standard in clothes, toys, products, etc.

Party leaders strongly supported the course of industrialization, since the main task was to strengthen positions on the political map, to prove superiority over other countries.

Costs
The result of industrialization was the disappearance of any competition, any capitalist forms were eliminated. All this led to a decrease in the struggle for the consumer. There was only one task: to build a leading industrial power. Hence, additional consequences can be distinguished:

lagging behind other industrial sectors;
nationalization of enterprises;
lower living standards of the population;
increased centralization.
Thus, large sums of money were spent on metallurgy, mechanical engineering, etc. Some segments of the population were dissatisfied, but as a rule there were very few of them and their opinion did not affect anything. In most cases, the quality of Soviet products was suitable, but in some it left much to be desired, since there was no competition.
