What year did the French Revolution take place?

The “Great French Revolution” refers to the totality of events that swept France from the late 1780s to the first half of the 1790s. The Revolution began with the events of July 1789, caused by the seizure of the “Bastille”, which is a fortress-prison, and the end of the Revolution, historians recognized the coup d’état in France, which took place on November 9, 1799. The result of the revolution was the overthrow of the old political and social regime, and, in turn, the emergence in France of a completely new, most democratic and even more progressive society.
