Trojan War – the war of the ancient Greeks against Troy dates back to the 13th early 12th century BC. The reason for the Trojan War was the kidnapping of the wife of the king of Sparta Minelaus, the beautiful Helen, the son of the Trojan king Priam, Paris. The Greeks were led by the brother of Minelaus, the Mycenaean king Agamemnon. The bloody war lasted about 10 years, the inhabitants of Troy were captured and enslaved, many were killed, the city itself was destroyed to the ground.
