What zones are allocated at the root? What is the difference?

Root zones from bottom to top:
1. Division zone – in this zone, cells are constantly dividing by mitosis, thereby ensuring root growth. This zone is covered with a root cap that protects the division zone from mechanical damage.
2. Zone of growth (stretching) – this zone increases in length due to cell division in the division zone, ensures the growth of the root.
3. Suction zone – it is covered with root hairs that ensure the absorption of water and minerals from the soil.
4. Zone of conduction – provides transport of water and minerals to the plant stem.
