When and where did the development of life on earth begin?

The emergence of life on the planet has always been controversial. At this point, science tends to assume that life first appeared in the oceans. This hypothesis is based on the fact that water is a good conductor, most of the chemical elements are present in it, and the environment for supporting life is more comfortable. As expected, from the beginning, simple microorganisms appeared, then they formed colonies, merged into multicellular organisms, and only after that they came out on land. It happened about 4 billion years ago.
