When and why did the United States enter World War I?

On April 6, 1917, the United States officially entered the First World War. Then the countries allies of Germany declared war on the United States. The reason for the entry into the war of the United States was that German submarines were actively fighting in the Atlantic Ocean. Mainly, the fight took place against the transport ships that went from the United States to England. In the course of this struggle, American ships were sunk and American citizens were killed. This was the reason for America’s entry into the war.
