When did Babylon appear?

From then on, the city began to grow and develop. At the beginning of the 2nd millennium BC. the city becomes the center of the Babylonian state, which existed from 1894 to 1595 BC. In the 16th century BC. Babylon was plundered by the Kassites, and in fact since then has been constantly changing hands. True, starting from the end of the 7th century BC. Babylon is again coming to its prime. During the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar II (605-562 BC) the city experienced its greatest prosperity and grandeur.
