When did King Hammurabi rule?

Only the approximate dates of the reign of the Babylonian king are known. According to historical records, he ruled around 1793-1750 BC.   The total length of his reign was about 43 years. The king is known for his laws, which are called “Laws of Hammurabi”. This set of legal rules is the oldest legal monument.
