When did the Battle of the Neva begin and end?

The battle, which is called the Battle of the Neva, began in 1240 on July 15. The confrontation lasted until the evening of the same day, at night the opponents stopped fighting. Russian troops led by Alexander Yaroslavich did not interfere with the evacuation of the remnants of the Swedish troops from the battlefield. The fact that the Russian troops won a victory made it possible to disrupt the plans for the further passage of the Swedes to Ladoga and Novgorod. For victory and courage, Alexander Yaroslavich received the honorary nickname “Nevsky”.
