When did the first Russian revolution begin?

The development of the revolution was started in January 1905. The reasons for it were the economic recession, the insufficient level of political and civil freedoms, the imperfection of labor legislation, and military failures. The so-called “Bloody Sunday” became the immediate reason for the outbreak of mass discontent. It happened on 9.01. and consisted in the shooting of a demonstration that was going to the tsar with a petition, which included a number of demands.
