When did the Great Patriotic War begin?

Before the start of the conflict, a rather tense situation was observed in Europe, between the right and left forces. After Germany defeated its most powerful adversary, France, it turned its gaze to the USSR. Thus, the troops of Germany on June 22, 1941 invade the territory of the Soviet Union. This was the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, it lasted 4 years, taking the lives of millions of soldiers. The war ended on May 9, 1945, when the Red Army captured Berlin.
