When did the Russian-Turkish war begin and end?

There were many reasons and prerequisites for the aggravation of relations between Turkey and Russia in the 60s of the 18th century. Among them, it is important to highlight the desire of Russia to reach the Black Sea and the desire of the Ottoman Empire to expand its possession in the Caucasus and the Northern Black Sea region. An important reason was the need for Turkey to strengthen its influence on the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Russia had its own plans: it wanted to protect the Orthodox population there.
