This war was unleashed on July 28, 1914. The reason for the declaration of war between the Entente and the Quarter Alliance was the assassination attempt on the Austrian prince Franz Ferdinand. This was the beginning of one of the largest and bloodiest wars in the history of mankind. Over 4 years of the war, more than 10 million soldiers died. The war ended on November 11, 1918.
