When was Gaul founded?

There is no exact date for the founding of Gaul, because it was not a state formation. This is the name of the territory of present-day France in the 5-2 century BC. Celtic Gauls tribes lived here. In the ancient period, the Gauls were ardent opponents of the Romans. There were constant wars between Gauls and Romans. Ultimately, only Caesar managed to conquer Gaul and turn her lands into a Roman province. This happened in 50 BC.
