When was the first crusade, and who took part in it?

The First Crusade lasted from 1096 to 1099. The beginning of this Crusade was laid by Pope Urban II, who called for the liberation of the Holy Land from the Saracens, and also to help the Byzantine emperor. This has resonated with various segments of the population. The goals of the crusaders were different, often selfish.

First, the peasants moved to the Holy Land, who were defeated by the Seljuks. Then knights from various regions of Europe (France, Lorraine, Italy, Germany) set out on a campaign.
