The Olympic Games originated in ancient Greece, but they still exist today. It is believed that the logo of the Olympics was created by Pierre de Coubertin at the beginning of the 20th century. The very first date when the Olympic flag was raised is considered to be 1914 in France, when 20 years of the revival of the Olympic Games were celebrated. The colors of the flag symbolize different continents: green for Australia, red for America, yellow for Asia, blue for Europe and black for Africa. There is another version of the symbolism of colors: blue – swimming, red – fencing, yellow – running, green – jumping, black – shooting.
