Where amphibians live?

Amphibians are a group of animals that are born and live in water when they are young (larvae) and live mainly on land that is near a water source when they are adults.

Amphibians were the first land animals and retained close ties with water. Many species of amphibians live in temperate regions, while some species are found in more humid conditions, such as rainforests. When the weather turns cold, amphibians hibernate by burrowing in mud at the bottom of ponds or under rocks.
