Where are the borders of the tundra?

The tundra is a natural zone that is located in a long strip on the Earth’s northern hemisphere, mainly within the Arctic Circle, its depth can vary from several tens of kilometers up to 1000 km. In the south, it most often borders on the taiga. The relief in this zone is flat, often there are bogs that have formed on thoroughly frozen ground, which does not melt even in summer and cannot absorb liquid precipitation. Due to this temperature regime, the tundra is poor in vegetation.
