Where are the leukocytes located?

Leukocytes are found in the blood of the body. Let’s consider everything on the example of a person. In our blood, about 3% of the blood composition is occupied by leukocytes. Their main function is to protect the body from viruses, bacteria and any foreign bodies that enter our body. Even if a particle that has entered the body does not pose any threat, leukocytes begin to attack and destroy it. When a person is sick, the level of leukocytes rises, since there is a source of threat in the body. It is also worth mentioning that leukocytes are able to leave the blood vessel.
