Where are the visual receptors?

The visual receptors are located on the retina of the eye. There are two types of receptors – cones and rods. They perceive color in different spectra and therefore we see colored objects. The cones are responsible for color perception. In the dark, they cannot perceive the light flux and it is difficult for us to distinguish colors. There is also a blind spot on the retina, where there are no receptors, since there is a nerve through which a signal is transmitted to the brain. But due to the fact that we have two eyes, the images are connected and we do not notice the blind spots.
