Where did the ancient Romans live?

The wealthy citizens of Rome lived in large one-story houses. However, there was little furniture in the house, and the Romans liked the space. They ate at a small table, slept on beds, and kept things in chests. Wealthy Romans also had a bathroom in the house and a bath. Wealthy citizens owned slaves. Ordinary people lived in small houses with a minimum of furniture and slept on the floor. The common people attended public baths common for men and women.
