Where do gametes develop in gymnosperms?

Male gametes of gymnosperms are two sperm located in special cones. They move along a special dust duct in order to meet with female gametes. Female gametes, on the other hand, are found in a different type of cone and are located in the ovules, which can be found on the scales of female cones. The female gametophyte is formed from one germinated megaspore. In the future, female gametes continue to form within this primary endosperm.
