Where do pine gametes form?

On the branches of a pine tree, two types of cones are noticeable: male (their color is greenish-yellow) and female (reddish). Each cone in its structure has an axis with scales.
On the scales of female cones, ovules develop, where eggs are located – female gametes. On the scales of male cones, pollen sacs develop, where pollen matures. If pollen gets on the surface of female cones, a pollination process takes place. In the female cone, pollen grows into the pollen tube, where sperm – male gametes – are formed.
