Where do sphagnum spores develop?

Sphagnum moss is adapted by nature in such a way that an urn-box is formed on its stalk for his children – a dispute, because his children are called not seeds, but disputes. And in this cozy box his children ripen – disputes. The urn box even has a lid that covers the sphagnum spores. As soon as the spores mature to the end, they wake up from the capsule onto fertile soil – peat, where the parent plant of these spores grew. And once on fertile soil, spores germinate here, in a peat bog.
