Where do they live and what structure do green multicellular algae have?

Green algae are quite unusual, as they have pigment sets that are more characteristic of higher plants.
Fresh waters, some species on land, on soil, ice, thermal springs are the main habitat of multicellular green algae. They swim in stagnant or slowly flowing waters, sometimes sink to the bottom.
The cells are elongated, cylindrical; spirogyra are covered with mucus. Chromatophores inside the cell are twisted in the form of spiral ribbons.
