Where do you see the fundamental difference in the meaning of spores in fungi and bacteria?

Both fungi and microbes can form spores, but in this case, the definition of “spore” means completely different things. If fungi form spores for the implementation of asexual reproduction, then in the case of bacteria everything is not so – these organisms form a spore, becoming covered with a kind of shell, and they do this in order to wait out unfavorable environmental conditions (low or high temperatures, the action of chemical aggressive factors etc.).

A common feature is that fungal spores also exhibit colossal resistance to active environmental factors.
