Where does Sophocles see the power of man? what does he condemn in people?

A thinker from the ancient Greek city of Athens, the greatest, playwright and tragedian of his time Sophocles sees the power of man in his mind: the ability to use various forces of nature to his advantage (in particular, the power of wind and water for sailing); in a person’s ability to speak, create states, order and laws; in the ability of a person to create medicines for various diseases. Sophocles condemns man for his pride, for deviating from the laws of good and gods, using his gift for petty gain for himself to the detriment of the community, polis, state, destroying, not creating.
