Where does the fusion of gametes in cuckoo flax take place?

In cuckoo flax, the fusion of gametes occurs on the pre-growth. Any multicellular organism consists of somatic cells and gametes. Somatic cells are all cells with a complete chromosome set. For example, blood cells, muscle cells, nerve cells, connective cells, and so on. Gametes are sex cells. They contain half of the chromosome set. When two sex cells of a male and female organism merge, a zygote is formed. It will accordingly contain a normal set of chromosomes. The embryo then develops from the zygote.
