Where does the North American possum live?

North American or northern possum.

The opossum, a marsupial animal, looks like a rat, but it is about the size of a cat and with a muzzle more elongated than that of a rat. The opossum has a prehensile tail and tenacious hind legs.

It lives mainly in North America: in the south of Canada, in the United States of America.

They are also found in South America: in Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay.

The basis of the diet of possums are various insects, sometimes carrion. At the same time, possums are omnivorous and, in addition to insects, can eat vegetables, fruits, mushrooms and even cereals.
