Where does the sun rise and set on the horizon?

The sun rises in the east (if you look at the map – on the right). The sun is setting in the west (if you look at the map, on the left). Because of its eastern position on the map, Japan is called the “Land of the Rising Sun”, if it speaks of the extreme western point on the geographical map, then such a place is the west coast of the United States.
