Where is the Amazon in relation to other geographic features

The Amazon River is located in the Amazonian Lowland. It originates in the Andes, this mountain system stretches west of the Amazon. The river flows into the Atlantic Ocean, which is located east of the river. To the north of the Amazon lies the Orinoco Lowland and the Orinoco River, the Guiana Plateau and the highest waterfall in the world – Angel. To the south of the Amazon are the Brazilian Highlands, the La Plata Lowland, the Parana River, and the Iguazu Falls.
