Where is the green pigment found?

Most of all plants have green leaves and needles. It is provided by the fact that plants are capable of photosynthesis. Chloroplasts are responsible for it in plant cells. They, during normal photosynthesis, when there is a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide, light and water, have a characteristic green color. Because of this, the plants are green. If the plants are placed in a dark place, the leaves will be yellowish or white, since there will be no normal process of photosynthesis and the chloroplasts will atrophy.
