Where was ancient Egypt located?

Ancient Egypt was located in the northeastern part of Africa. Civilization originated in the area of the Nile River. The northern border of the state was located where the Nile fell into the Mediterranean Sea, and the southern border was at the site of the first rapids of the Nile. The country had a dry and hot climate. The seasonal flooding of the Nile River contributed to the development of agriculture in the country. The military campaigns of the pharaohs also contributed to the prosperity of Ancient Egypt. The main prey of the campaigns were slaves, cattle, gold and copper, valuable wood species.
