Where was the goddess Athena especially revered?

The goddess Athena was revered as an example of wisdom, military strategy. Daughter of Zeus and patroness of a successful war. She is credited with special respect in Greece for the idea of the Trojan horse, offering the inhabitants of the olive tree with its properties. According to legend, she gave people the basics of cooking, working with fabrics and yarns, the first tools for working with the earth, proclaimed the laws and the supreme court of the Areopagus, used in Athens. It was this motherly attitude towards people that gave her people’s love and respect.
